Follow the steps to get to the modem properties.

Click on the System Icon

Then Click on Hardware

Then Device Manager

Double click on Modem

From here you can change modem speed

Run Diagnostics

NOTE: to run diagnostics click on query Modem

You will get this then a Modem Response.

To input Init strings Click Advanced.

These are the only things you play with in the modem properties.
