Internet Explorer Setup For Windows CE

Click on Start/Programs/Communications then 'Remote Networking'. Then click on the 'Make New Connection' icon. Type in BestWeb for the connection name.

The modem that is installed in your Windows CE device should already be listed on this screen. Click on 'TCP/IP Settings' button.

Put a check next to 'Use Server-Assigned IP address'. Only 'Use Software Compression' and 'Use IP Header Compression' should be checked. Click on the 'Name Servers' tab.

Put a check next to 'Use Server Assigned Addresses'. Click 'OK'.

For Country: type in '1', for the Area type in 'your local area code' and for Telephone number type in 'your local access number'. Click Finish.

Click here to look up your local BestWeb Internet Access number.

Type in your 'Username' and 'Password' in lowercase letters. On the right next to Phone: It should have the letter T (for Tone) then your local number. (**Note: If it doesn't list your local access number you may need to refer to your manual that came with your Windows CE device to configure 'Dial Properties').

Make sure phone line is plugged into the Windows CE device then click 'Connect'.
